When to Book: The Ibiza Season Calendar

The island runs on a season, and knowing its rhythm is the difference between a good week and a great one.

April and May: openings

Clubs stage their opening parties from late April. The countryside is green, restaurants are fresh out of the winter and the best villas are still open for the whole summer. Rates are at their friendliest.

June and September: the sweet spot

Warm sea, long evenings, full programming and space to breathe. Most experienced visitors book these weeks first, which is why they sell out quietly in January.

July and August: peak

Everything is open, everything is busy, and the best houses go a year ahead. Book the villa, then the boat, then the tables, in that order.

October: closings

The closing parties are the emotional high point of the year and the sea is at its warmest. Check dates in what''s on.

Winter

Quiet, green and genuinely lovely, with a small circle of restaurants open. This is the season for long term rentals and for buyers viewing property without the summer noise.
