Ibiza Town is two places at once: the walled old town on the hill and the port below it.

Dalt Vila

The Renaissance walls are UNESCO listed and best walked at the end of the day. Enter at Portal de ses Taules, climb to the cathedral and the castle, and come down slowly through the lanes.

The port and Marina

Dinner, shopping and people-watching, busiest after eleven. Book restaurants; the good ones fill nightly in season.

Practicalities

Park in the underground car parks near the port rather than circling. The old town is steep and cobbled, so leave the heels in the car.
