Beach Clubs Worth the Sunbed

Beach clubs are not all the same product. Some are restaurants with sunbeds, others are day parties with a kitchen attached.

Family days

Look for calm water, shade and a kitchen that will feed children at odd hours. Cala Bassa and the Salinas end of the south coast handle this best.

Long lunches

The east and north coast clubs run at a gentler tempo: rice at three, swim at five, home for sunset.

Party days

The west coast sunset venues turn into something else entirely after seven. Book, do not walk in.

Practicalities

Beds are released weeks ahead in high summer and the front rows go first. Parking is the real constraint; a driver solves it, see car services.
