Morning

Breakfast on the terrace, then the market at Sant Joan for bread, fruit and a browse. It runs through the morning and is the least commercial of the island''s markets.

Midday

Drive north to Cala d''en Serra or Portinatx for a swim before the crowd. Pack towels and take cash; the beach bars rarely take cards.

Lunch

A long, unhurried lunch is non-negotiable. Rice for the table, feet in the sand, no fixed plan for the afternoon.

Sunset

West coast for the classics, or the terrace at home if you have the view. Our sunset-facing villas make the second option the better one.

Night
