The village is centred around a charming square which is dominated by the whitewashed church, which was thought to be built in 1797, although the rather daunting task of constructing this enchanting building began in 1785. The captivating stained glass features and ancient belfry make it a popular sightseeing destination.

However, the square itself is the real hub of the village and the community, which is made up of a truly cosmopolitan mix. Combining the artists and musicians who made their home here in the bohemian days of the 60´s and 70´s and never left, with today´s movers and shakers of the island, many of whom love the area for the excellent school and plentiful boutiques, you have a truly eclectic mixture of people who populate the area.

And whilst the village may be small, it offers a vast selection of places to wine and especially dine. The main square is home to some of the most celebrated, authentic eateries on the island, and here you can sample a taste of the ´real´ Ibiza. Bar Costa is perhaps the most famous and much loved of all, having made its name back in the heady days of the 60´s for making deals with penniless artists to trade their creations for food, and indeed, you can still see some of their artwork adorning the walls today!
