La Escollera

Situated on the shores of the breathtaking bay of Es Cavallet, in the summer, this divine dining destination is often overshadowed by it´s more famous neighbour, the equally excellent El Chiringuito. However, in the low season, the beach belongs to La Escollera, which remains open all year round, and is always bursting with an eclectic crowd who flock to enjoy the excellent food, breathtaking views and relaxed yet stylish ambience. With a menu based around traditional island cuisine with a modern twist, a wine list to rival any Michelin starred restaurant, and friendly, well informed staff, La Escollera is an idyllic spot to while away yet another perfect Ibizan afternoon.

Locals Only

If your taste buds are longing for a true taste of Italy, then head to the iconic Plaza del Parque, where you will find the classic Mediterranean osteria, Locals Only. Run with passion and flair by owner Tito Piazza, who has personally curated an exceptional menu focused on his philosophy of farm to table freshness and sustainability. Drawing on his upbringing in the Italian countryside to inspire him to create genuine, heartfelt food, the love and care which goes into every dish is evident. You are guaranteed to receive a warm welcome each and every time you visit from Tito and his team, and the Plaza del Parque is a perfect place for people watching as you dine on their divine offerings.

Yemanja

A true Ibiza institution, Yemanja is one of the best places to feast on the freshest seafood and finest cuts of meat to be found on the island. Open 365 days a year, this iconic restaurant can be found on Cala Jondal, and is a firm favourite winter dining spot. We can´t decide if it´s the excellent menu, sublime setting or innovative cocktail list which keeps us coming back time after time, but one thing is for sure, Yemanja is surely in the top of everyone’s favourite list of off season restaurants, and remains one of our most loved venues for a leisurely winter lunch.

Can Caus

Just outside the centre of the picturesque village of Santa Gertrudis lies a carnivore´s paradise, Can Caus. This family run restaurant also owns the farmland behind the restaurant itself, and much of their produce is sourced from their own lands. The focus here is firmly on mouthwatering meat, and the solomillo (fillet steak) is quite simply the best we have ever tasted, and always cooked to perfection.  We´re also rather devoted to the lamb chops, and in fact, everything on the menu is quite frankly excellent. Their home made aioli and freshly baked bread has to be tasted to be believed, and the potato and onion traditional Ibicencan salad is simply exceptional. We defy any meat lover not to leave here entirely satisfied!

 The Factory Bar and Smokehouse  

A new player on the winter scene for 2017/18 is the excellent Factory Bar and Smokehouse. It recently opened to great acclaim, with a mouth watering menu taking you seamlessly through from lunch to dinner. In fact, when we paid our first visit there for the Sunday Roast Sessions, the excellent espresso martinis we enjoyed after lunch kept us on the dancefloor until late into the night! With the promise of regular sets from some of the island´s most cutting edge DJ´s including Manu Gonzalez, Tom Crane and Andy Baxter to name but a few, we can foresee many more days spent at this excellent new addition to Ibiza´s gastronomic scene.
